It exalts and spotlights the beauty of the game through a narrative that is rarely afforded to female athletes. It goes beyond the limits of the pitch. It explores the third spaces, the commutes, the moments of life that make the struggle worth it.

The book can, and should be, read in the same tone as a fairytale as it tells the story of a fictitious female team founded in London just after The FA lifted the ban on women’s football in 1971. It wants to enchant, inspire and send the viewer on an adventure.

HONEYBALL equals fun. It is not a strict historical reproduction; it’s the interpretation of a feeling. Each section frames a particular facet of the team’s life, focusing on the emotional aspects and scrappiness of it all. Fashion plays a role too.
